Component Shop Manager

Qualifications:

Extensive knowledge of transmissions & differentials
High school graduation/GED or equivalent work experience
Valid Driver’s license & good driving record
Demonstrates excellent internal / external customer service and communication
Demonstrates ability to effectively work with a team
Able to lift up to 50 pounds
Able to bend, stoop, twist, carry, push & pull
Able to reach & lift overhead
Able to step up and down
Able to utilize mechanical tools & devices & calibration tools
Operate forklift
Own tools
Basic arithmetic skills
Basic Computer knowledge
Able to read / understand books / catalogs/ diagrams
Able to remain alert and attentive to job duties and safety
Attends inside sales meetings
Prompt attendance/ neat appearance
Other jobs as assigned
Post-offer physical examination required as condition of employment

Additional Preferences:

Must have good organizational, scheduling, & communication skills (including phone skills)
Must be able to order supplies/ inventory control
Must be able to demonstrate leadership & supervisory abilities (ability to lead & supervise several mechanics, including safety & efficiency)
Excellent customer/shop service/ commitment
Must be able to coordinate customer needs with manager
Ability to troubleshoot
