JOB POSTING: TECHNICAL TRAINER & COORDINATOR

General Job Summary: The Technical Trainer/Coordinator will be responsible for keeping updated with and informing the company of diagnostic and technical tools, hardware, and software needed to diagnose, program, and repair truck components. He or she will be required to research, develop, implement, assess, update, and follow-up on effective training programs to train ITP on the use of these tools and programs. He or she will also be required from time to time to train customers or others requested by ITP's management.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

        * Create and maintain a positive learning environment

        * Develop and maintain technical training curriculum and training materials and/or labs or exercises as needed or directed

        * Track participant's progress

        * Provide group and individual training

        * Stay informed and trained on the current and future electronic diagnostic repair tools, software, and hardware in vehicle technology

        * Supervise Component Shop Technical Trainer

 

 

Qualifications:

q       Four-year degree in adult education or equivalent work experience and demonstrated application of training strategies in a business setting.

q       Solid understanding of computer basics (Windows, Excel, Word, how to utilize e-mail, and the internet)

q       Strong problem solving, research, and decision making skills

q       Excellent supervisory skills

q       Strong organization and time management skills

q       Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills

q       Ability to communicate technical concepts and ideas effectively

q       Maintain a professional image and conduct him or herself in a professional manner

q       Valid drivers license and good driving record

q       Ability to lift up to 70 pounds

q       Ability to stoop, bend, or twist

q       Ability to travel extensively with frequent overnight stays
